Rome is the crown jewel of Italy, the site of monumental historic events, breathtaking art and ancient architecture. But don\u2019t forget the food!<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Stop for lunch<\/strong><\/span> at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.caffedellapace.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Caff\u00e8 della Pace<\/a>, near <a href=\"https:\/\/www.routeperfect.com\/italy\/lazio\/rome\/piazza-navona\/?utm_source=Blog&amp;utm_medium=post&amp;utm_campaign=eatpraylove\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Piazza Navona<\/a>, one of Rome&#8217;s most beautiful squares. Piazza Navona is known for its three magnificent fountains. Liz had a delicious lunch of roasted chicken and red wine carafe while sitting on the picturesque terrace which usually draws in artists and poets.<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Ice cream<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; After lunch take a short 10 minute walk to Via della Panetteria, where Gilbert tasted the best ice cream in Rome, at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ilgelatodisancrispino.com\/en\/home-eng\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Il Gelato di San Crispino.<\/a><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Have Dinner<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.santaluciaristorante.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Santa Lucia Ristorante\u202c<\/a> is where Liz had wonderful dinner with friends while sitting in the beautiful little garden. The restaurant is located near Piazza Navona as well, and you can&#8217;t afford to miss their caprese and pasta with truffles.<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Our tip<\/strong> <\/span>&#8211; Visit a local trattoria in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.routeperfect.com\/italy\/lazio\/rome\/trastevere\/?utm_source=Blog&amp;utm_medium=post&amp;utm_campaign=eatpraylove\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trastevere<\/a>, a picturesque medieval neighborhood, situated across the Tiber River. Elizabeth visited this romantic picturesque town on her Italian holdiday for a taste of the famous wine. Visit the Palazzo Comunale, the town hall, that offers breathtaking views of Tuscany, climb up Montepulciano main street, making sure to find time to relax with a glass of fine red wine and fresh pasta.<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Our Tip<\/strong><\/span>&#8211; Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.avignonesi.it\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fattoria Le Capezzine<\/a> for its round vineyards, where you can see all of Italy&#8217;s best wine produced. Elizabeth was overjoyed by the town&#8217;s incredible butcher shops and was delighted by the sausages, ham, juicy chickens, fresh figs and plump peaches.<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Our tip<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 You must eat at <a href=\"https:\/\/dapasquale-lucca.com\/epages\/174764.sf\/it_IT\/?ObjectPath=\/Shops\/174764\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Da Pasquale\u202c<\/a>, one of the best restaurants in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.routeperfect.com\/italy\/tuscany\/lucca\/?utm_source=Blog&amp;utm_medium=post&amp;utm_campaign=eatpraylove\">Lucca<\/a>.
